We stopped by shortly before opening to get a table for brunch, none were available but we were able to snag a seat at the bar. Service was quick & decent. We took advantage of the Bloody Mary bar- I had bacon vodka (the only non-spicy option), while my husband had the honey Sriracha. The bar itself was great! I love mine a little dirty & was disappointed to not find olive juice on the bar. Fun experience & there were plenty of items you could probably make 2-3 skewers if you put everything on!
Onto the food. I asked the server if the eggs in purgatory was in a tomato ragu (I saw a mushroom ragu on the menu too) and he said "no, it's mushroom." Based on his response I ordered that. To my surprise, it came out as a tomato sauce. Had I known (why I asked), I would've ordered something else. Very disappointed, and the reason for 3 stars. To have a server not know the ingredients in your regular menu items (it'd be better to say "not sure, let me check") is unacceptable. The dish was fine, just not what I expected.
My husband had the chicken & waffle- huge portion but the bones in chicken always make it tough to eat. He enjoyed the subtle spice from the jalapeƱos (he says 3.5 stars).
I was very excited about this place with the high rating & countless reviews, but am disappointed.
