We've been several times. I am a craft beer enthusiast, we love to eat out and it's close to home. Most of the beer's I've tried I would score in the average (3.5 to 3.75 out of 5) range. The food is good; again, I'd say average to slightly above average. The service, however, has always been way above average, and good customer service is usually the factor that distinguishes average from above average for me.
On my most recent trip I ordered the Hell Bitch "Belgian Tripel." I love Belgian beers and the tripel is one of my favorite styles of beer, so I was excited to see it on the list. I'll be polite. They have a lot of good beers here - this is definitely not one of them. It doesn't really resemble a Belgian Tripel. I know the BJCP Guidelines are just that... "guidelines"... but you should at least attempt to hit some of the criteria.
The only other downside that dropped a star off for me is their "follow-the-crowd" mentality about catering to the "dogs are people too" nuts. It would be nice to sit on the patio and enjoy dinner and a few beers without the humane society kennel-like atmosphere. I love animals as much as the next guy and I've been a dog owner my entire adult life. Dogs are dogs... people are people...
