| - I never tried macarons before, so I came here for the macarons and the macarons I did get. It was open on Thanksgiving Day, so that was convenient. I see a lot of negative comments about the service, but the time I went in, the service was nice. We were greeted as we approached the counter, and the girl was very attentive as we made our choices.
The macarons were moist on the inside and the ganache was cool and creamy. It was a nice treat, but GOOD LORD was it expensive. It cost $15 to get 6 macarons w/o tax. One of them was a little stale but the rest were of good quality.
We tried: Ruelo (milk chocolate ganache with a crispy praline center), black current, fleur de sel caramel (caramel and salt), vanilla, raspberry chocolate, and green tea sesame. I really liked the Ruelo and the green tea sesame ones. On that day we had about 10 flavours to choose from, so that's a decent selection.
This is a good place to get macarons if you like them, so I give it a solid 4 stars. Personally I'm not particularly a huge fan of macarons, so I can't really justify spending a lot of money for these treats.
