  • Boy has this place gone downhill! It used to be one of my favorite, "go-to" places in Peters, and we often ordered take out. But over the last few years the food quality has drastically slipped. On my last trip, a late afternoon after playing golf, we went to the bar area for a few appetizers. The Pot Roast nachos had about 2 tiny slivers of dried meat, the fried zucchini was all thick breading, and no taste. The Crab bisque was overly salty, and filled with shells. Recent take out orders have consisted of 2 fish sandwiches with a credit card sized piece of thin, dried out, fish (Now I'm not one of those people looking for a mega-giant sized piece of mediocre fried fish on a bun. But this was ridiculously tiny, and less than mediocre in taste) . .....And they gave me the wrong side salad. The order a few weeks after that was also wrong. Wrong soups this time. I d have to say that their burgers are very good. And sometimes they'll even get your order right when you request no mayo. Not often, but sometimes. That's about the only reason I gave them 2 stars instead of the 1 star they've really earned over the last few years. I've also had some great fillets there (and also some that were tougher than beef jerky), and some good ribs. But quality control is severely lacking, so you never know what to expect. Someone in your party will most likely leave disappointed. I used to eat here about once a month for years. As the quality declined, so have my visits. Now I go, dragging my feet, a few times a year. But after my last few experiences, I think I'm done.
