| - This store has perhaps some of the worst customer service ever. I purchased $157.52 worth of products from them, including 2 gallons of semi-transparent deck stain in the color "hill country". This is a color that I meticulously picked out online prior to coming to the store.
When I got home and started using this product on my deck, I knew immediately that the color I received did not look like the "hill country" pictures on the Sherwin Williams website, the swatch in the store or any of the deck photos I had seen online. After immediately calling the store and going around with an employee who told me in 10 different ways that I was wrong, without even seeing the color in my can or on the deck, I told him I would just drive back to the store so that he could see for himself.
After bringing the cans back to the store and the employee AGREEING with me that the color didn't look right compared to the swatch, he said couldn't process the return because a manager wasn't there. He told me I would have to come back the next day. This would have been a great thing for him to tell me over the phone when I told him I was going to come to the store in person.
The following day, I called and an assistant manager answered the phone. Again, I had to go around and around with her telling me that I was wrong about the color. Please keep in mind this was after I had wasted my time driving back to the store the night before to try to show them in person AND the previous employee had seen the paint / my deck photos for himself and agreed with me that the color didn't look right.
At this point, I just asked for a manager and demanded a refund. I will never be purchasing anything from this store again. Had this store at least acted like they halfway cared about me as a customer, I would have at least exchanged the cans for 2 new cans of the correct color.
I don't think the customer is always right, but at least hear a customer out or see the product for yourself before you immediately start telling them that they are wrong. How you can you even argue with a customer about the color until you've seen it for yourself? and they should also consider having someone in the store at all times to process a return, especially if the customer calls advance.
