| - I can't resist a good bakery. This one's superb. They make breads, croissants, cookies, tarts, muffins, scones, and more. Not tons of them and not in generic flavors. Most of their items rotate daily, so the scone you had one day may not be there the next. They're all unique flavor combinations, and in small batches, so if/when they sell out, they sell out. In everything I've eaten from here, I have tasted the cardamom, the orange zest, rye, tahini, ginger, or what have you. That can be hard to achieve, but they successfully do that here, in a balanced harmonious way. It's a simple storefront with minimal seating, racks and trays of delicious baked goods behind the register and the bakery in action in the back. I can't believe how humble their price point is. $2-$5 maybe? of seriously good artisan delectables? I'm not complaining, aside from the fact I wish I could eat their goods every day. There's something really humble, authentic yet exciting about this place. Another Pittsburgh gem.
