| - I was surprised at the negative reviews, but I realized those are all from a couple of years ago, and IMO they've really turned things around. Here's my experience:
- went for an oil change 10/2014 - no problem at all, AND I found the Parkway Restaurant right across the street so I ate a nice breakfast while I waited.
- went in for the next oil change last Friday (April 3rd). When I got in the car the next day and pulled out I noticed an oil spot, so I took it back in a few days later. Turns out they'd had a bad batch of oil filters and not only replaced it for free but re-did the ENTIRE oil change.
- This morning, more oil. I went in; the gentleman said they'd had to throw out the rest of that batch of filters and was very apologetic (even though JL doesn't make the filters). They started to re-do the oil change and another gentleman came in and told me I had a damaged oil pan. However, since they had no way of knowing how the damage occurred (during the oil change or elsewhere) they would replace it - for free. AND my next oil change would be free (I don't know if JL corporate would be happy with these decisions, so I hope I don't get these guys in trouble).
This experience, while an inconvenience, really demonstrates a commitment to excellent customer service. If you haven't been there for an oil change, I highly recommend it. If you haven't been back because of a bad experience a couple years ago, I'd recommend giving them another chance.
