| - First off, I would like to apologize for the late review. Having a one and two year old, really keeps me going physically, but my mind blank. Second, I wish I could remember who exactly it was that I had my appointment with, but unfortunately I can't. I want to say it was Lori, but it could have also been Cheyrl. Her station is either the 3 or 4 one on the right side from when you first walk in. She also normally doesn't take Groupons and she's dating a fella with a big, loud, and I think a maroon truck.
Anywho, moving onto my review. I'd like to make it known that I live in Maricopa City. Which is about 30 minutes south of Chandler. So driving to this salon specifically, took me just a little over an hour to get to. My Mom had given me a Groupon to use at this salon, so I had to go there. She had went a couple times in the past and thought they were ok. I chose one of the names mentioned earlier because I read good reviews on them.
During the session, she spoke about her boyfriend. At one point she took a call from him and you could tell there was some frustration between them. I then heard her say something along the lines of, 'I'm doing someone's hair right now. I'll hurry and go pick you up'.
Well I don't know about you, but that's the last thing I wanted to hear. I remember he hung up on her and we continued our conversation and her telling me about him (it wasn't good, but I'll leave it at that).
Now I'm just like the next woman who tries to keep up with the care & color of our hair, so it wasn't my first time sitting in that chair. I know how long it should take (more or less) for a hair appointment. I'll just say, my appointment went rather quickly and it was NOT relaxing at all. All I kept hearing in the back of my head was her telling her man that she was going to hurry and leave. And that's exactly what she did. She didn't even stick around for me to hand her the tip. She left in her boyfriend truck, who pulled up a couple minutes before she called it quits. Extremely disappointing.
Last but not least, when I was paying, I handed the receptionist my Groupon and accidentally handed her my other Groupon (which was also for this salon) without realizing it. I left without knowing what I had done and the receptionist, who I knew had to have seen it because she opened the folded paper to use the Groupon for the payment. I saw her place the piece of paper behind the Groupon, but it didn't click till I was already East bound on I-10, back to Maricopa. I was just passing the 101 loop when I called the salon to tell them that I accidentally given them my other Groupon. She told me to hold on while she looked for it. She found it. She then asked me if I wanted to go back and get it. Umm.. no. I had already driven at least 20 minutes east and I was gone for several hours and needed to get back home. I asked her if she could mail the Groupon back to me, but I was told no. She said that she would put in the drawer of the hair stylist that I had just seen in case I went back.
I'm sorry, but that experience was NOT good and I will NOT be returning. Not even for my Groupon.
I already told my Mom about what had happened and she's not returning as well. My sister, who was going to try this place out too, will not be going.
I would suggest you find another salon where the bf isn't a huge influence on time for the stylist. My visit was such a huge disappointment.
