I just moved down the street from Quad East coincidentally at the same time they were offering a Groupon deal. So I tried it and I LOVE it.
Quad is fabulous. They have a wonderful modern industrial-like space. The bikes are in good condition for the most part, I've had one was kind of off but it only happened once.
The staff is so friendly and welcoming. If you're new to spin they make sure to show you the ropes so you don't feel left behind. The best part about spin is that you can work at your own pace without feeling overwhelmed.
Most of the instructors are amazing. Their classes are fast paced but good for any experience level, they're so much fun, great music, and the best part is you barely even realize you're working out. I'm so glad I started going to Quad because it totally took me out of a workout rut.
Reason for four stars instead of five:
On two occasions I've had instructors who I did not enjoy at all. Both of their classes seemed to dragged on, were unenjoyable, had bad music, and were not motivating. This is possibly a personal preference but based on the attendance to these particular classes I wonder if there are others out there who feel the same. Either way, there are a couple of instructors who's classes I avoid, even if it's the only class I can attend that day.
The price! I LOVE Quad but when my three month membership runs out I'm torn as to whether or not I'm going to renew. I'm a student and the price is a little steep for a three month membership. They offer student 10 class pass option but I would use that in a couple of weeks.
