  • I thank the woman in my life for introducing me to Crate&Barrel and a whole new world of interior design, fashion and good manners. Before all this, a decade ago, I had a beat up couch and was a scruffy bachelor dressed in rags. Having good stuff, high quality silverware, and a theme to your home decor does wonders to self improvement. I also found out that I tend to get more respect at drive thru windows and restaurants, but I digress. I have an interior "style" now: it's modern contemporary. Crate&Barrel does modern contemporary well. Listen to the woman in your life, take her to Crate&Barrel, it will change your life. P.S. Their furniture holds up well. The fabric lasts. It may be pricey, but it will look great for a lifetime. The guacamole tastes better too, if placed in the fancy dip bowl I got from here, as opposed to plastic. Strange, I know.
