The front desk staff was friendly but the store director was extremely rude and aggressive and did not offer good customer service whatsoever. I received a gift certificate for 5 free reflexology sessions. The address on the gift certificate directed me to this massage heights location where I was told by the front desk staff that they had just bought out the company that the gift certificate was for at the beginning of this year and since she wasn't sure if they offered an equivalent service she would have to have her manager come and assist me. After waiting for 10 minutes another staff member came out who I believe was a masseuse, she said the manager was on a phone call and would be up shortly, 5 minutes later the store director comes out and very rudely says that there is nothing she can do because my gift certificate is not for massage heights it's for another company. I then asked that since this company was bought out by massage heights, is there any equivalent service that you can offer? Again very rudely and aggressively she stated that they did not buy out the company that my gift certificate was for. I looked to the front desk staff and said I must have misunderstood I thought you said that you bought them out, as soon as the front desk staff began to speak the store director cut them off and stated that I should not be talking to them about anything since she is the store director and she came out to resolve my issue. At this point she dismissed the front desk staff to leave the reception area, she handed me back my gift certificate and stated that this would be a matter that should be taken up with the company that the gift certificate was for, WHICH IS CLOSED. I understand if there wasn't an equivalent service for her to offer me, and I also understand that the gift certificate was not for massage heights but another company. But what a way to turn away a potential paying customer. And your resolution to the issue was for me to try to call a company that you and I both know is closed. Very unprofessional. I am a dental assistant and because of regularly being on my feet and sitting in an uncomfortable position I often frequent reflexologists and massage therapists but this will certainly never be the business I choose to get these services at. Customer service is key, especially coming from a managerial position.
