| - Not a huge fan of this place. I wasn't really hungry when we came here, but I was really looking forward to a nice selection of tropical drinks. The selection was definitely there. They had well over a dozen drinks. A whole page in the menu, and a booklet on the table. Unfortunately, the two that I tried were pretty bad. The first was a zombie. This drink didn't look, or taste like any zombie I've ever had, and I've had a few. I actually wondered if my order got mixed up somewhere. Whatever it was, it was mediocre at best. I thought a strawberry mojito would be a safer bet, since that's almost impossible to mess up. Well...almost, right? It looked, and tasted more like a bad daiquiri. It was way too sweet, and apparently made with Pucker. The only mojito thing about it was the physical presence of mint in the glass. I tried a friend's cocktail- The Painkiller, and wasn't too into that either. The mix of rum, and coconut cream is nice, but again, way too sweet.
The food was...okay. Our friend ordered the jerk chicken, and seemed to really enjoy it. We wanted to order some fish. Three varieties were available, but they were out of the one that we wanted. The salmon was cooked well, but the sides were not. Gummy mashed potatoes, and oily under cooked green beans. Oh well, at least they weren't frozen.
I won't be rushing back here anytime soon.
