| - Do I look like I'm going to Diesel (is Diesel still there? Chauncy's? Saddle Ridge?) this weekend? Not even a little. But I'm trying to dance! Belv's is still closed. Remedy plays trap for too many kids that can't handle themselves. Bring on the gay bar. And at this point, it doesn't even make sense to specify the orientation of this club; our entire crew (a nice little mix of both) can go dancing here on the weekend .. without having to be up on some spray tanned ex-Aeropostale model or have to listen to any "wooooooo" girls for the whole night. With a mix of top 40, Cher, and a random 90s night, miracles do happen.
I had to write something for here, as most of the reviews are either four years old or coming from somewhere that I have never been. I've never had my credit card taken at the door, and I have definitely paid for a few drinks with my card and not started a tab. Hell, I've never even paid a cover (on Saturday night). It is true that typically it is not very crowded, but the dance floor is small, and venue itself is large.
Lounge area (with an empty bar!), then dance floor & stage (with a crowded indoor/outdoor bar), and a surprisingly nice deck which allows smoking (but no smoking inside). The place is cool, black lit, and modern. Clean without smelling like chemicals (which is somehow the combination at most clubs). Bathrooms are fine. It's also at the end of the Smallman club blocks, so you can avoid most of those less than gentleman-like patrons of other spots.
If you want a crowded "ultra lounge", good luck with getting stabbed. If you want to go dance with your friends and have moderately priced super fruity drinks (or in my case, vodka red bulls without the side of judgement), this is a really great spot.
