When I heard that Tops (a landmark liquor store in Tempe) was opening a bar adjacent to the retail store, I was more than anxious to visit. I appreciated that they were featuring a fully rotating tap list, meaning that as soon as something runs out they replace it with something new. And no, you won't find Coor's or even Pabst on these handles. The atmosphere is quaint and comfortable; a nice diversion from the typical downtown Tempe college frat bars and sleezy clubs.
I like this place and look forward to it coming into its own. However, some kinks to work out definitely include the pricing of the drinks. They feature very few imports on tap, such as Belgian beers (which I personally love). They did feature a La Chouffe but charged $9 for a ten ounce glass. This is outrageous (even for Belgian quality). Also, the crowd is very loud.
