  • Right off the QEW, this hotel is easy to get to, about 30-45 min from Toronto's downtown, and currently at a bargain rate... that being said, they're under construction (new lobby, etc.) so you'll check in one of the dining/meeting rooms and get your check-in materials and key cards. The rooms are mid-sized compared to others along my stay, and you can see how the bathrooms are a bit smaller and in need of renovation (not too old, but not new, either). You're getting a deal while they're still under construction. Staff was super friendly for the inconveniences they have to endure, though. Note that the walls are thin (could hear the neighbors pretty well), and the ice machines aren't on the first floor (ask staff for it instead). TV channels - half of them didn't work. All movie channels were pay-to-view. Free room internet was periodically hiccuping out on me. They do have all you can drink hot and cold water, though, so that's nice. I've been to better Hilton Garden Inn's, but hopefully this will pick up after the renovation.
