| - You've got several choices available to you when you want to buy an air rifle. Online retailers, local sporting good stores, some gun stores and eBay and the other online marketplaces. I investigated them all before I fortuitously found Pyramyd Air. I tried to work with some of the other channels. My visit to local retailers left me annoyed as they had very little product knowledge, limited inventory and they were too busy selling ammo to zombie apocalypse preppers. Some of the people and companies with good deals online ended being a shady ("Oh, BTW, this is a refurbished unit at this price.") I was about to throw in the towel and hire and exterminator for my rodent problem when my Dad said, you gotta buy from Pyramyd Air. Don't even think about any of the others. And he was right.
So here's what was exceptional about Pyramyd Air:
1) They are extremely knowledgeable and experienced. They get out and actually test the new products and many are serious shooters, They clearly love what they do. I worked with Ruth and she was incredibly sharp and generous with her time. Basically I called to order one model that I'd seen good reviews for and she gently steered me to another model that was far better for my requirements. Look out tree rats and ground squirrels that are tearing up my fruit trees because your days are numbered now!
2) They will assemble your configuration (I bought a scope and rings) , test, and zero your scope and test fire it before boxing it up and shipping it to you along with the data they collect during this process - for $20! Better yet they need only a day to get this done so it doesn't slow you down.
3) Pricing - incredibly competitive. For many products they were at or below "street price" and for the few that were higher it was only by a very small margin. That they shipped my order for free as part of a promotion and did not charge sales tax (8.25% in my town!) the entire package was far less than what I would have paid anywhere else.
4) Refund/Return Policy - very fair.
5) And last but not least, they have a plethora of online instructional videos and reviews that I've found to be helpful - some even essential.
The people that run Pyramyd Air are obviously "in it to win it" and go to great lengths to provide full service and a great customer experience.
And finally, I want to thank Ruth again. she spent a good bit of time with me educating me so I could make some solid choices. After dealing with slimy cell service providers and sketchy insurance company minions earlier in the week it was incredibly gratifying to have been taken care of by a person that listened, knew her products like a boss and was extremely friendly. I am looking forward to early next year when after I've broken in the rifle and gotten good with it I'm going to equip it with a laser/light to blast those horrible tree rats at night.
If I could give Pyramyd Air 6 STARS I would. It is without reservation that I recommend them to you. Ask them to mail you one of their incredibly well-produced and lusciously thick catalogs (I think they must carry every air gun and accessory made!). I promise you that if you're of a certain age you will get that same excited and warm feeling you used to get when you looked at the Sears, Penny's and Monkey Ward's toy catalog around Christmas.
