  • Our pup Obi absolutely loves The Barker Lounge. Being new to Charlotte and very protective of our baby boy, we shopped around quite a bit to find a suitable daycare/boarding facility. There were places we would drive up to where I thought, "I wouldn't be able to leave him here for 1 minute let alone overnight!" Totally forgetting The BL is in walking distance from our house, my fiance and I decided to take a visit there one day. The place was clean, seemed secure and the staff was super nice, so we decided to do a trial to see if our pup was a good fit... and he was! Originally, we needed The BL for vacations and when we had to go out of town for a quick weekend, but since our boy loves it so much, we take him for a daycare play date every week or so. When we take him to The BL, as soon as he sees the building he starts jumping for joy in the car, uncontrollably wagging his tail... no joke. He can not wait to leave us and go play with his other puppy friends... He doesn't even say goodbye to us! When it's time to pick him up, he is happy and completely wiped out from playing and wrestling the whole day. We have never had a problem with The BL. They never mind me calling everyday when we're away to give me a report on how our boy is doing. The staff is really nice and caring and seem to love what they do... and love the dogs.. which is so important! I am so glad we found The Barker Lounge and I know that our pup is glad, too.
