| - Being new to the area and before I had learned about Yelp, I wasn't sure where to go for my med spa needs. Upon hearing an advertisement, I decided to give Neos a try.
Bad Experience#1: Went for a microdermabrasion and the aesthetician scratched my face pretty badly. It looked like someone had clawed me. I had 4 scratches about 3" long down my cheeck. It bled and then scabbed. They told me there would be no down time, so I didn't take any time off of work. Hard to cover up scabbed over scratches, so of course all my co-workers and clients asked what happened to me all day long...
Bad Experience #2: Dysport FAIL!!! The nurse injector placed over 50 units in my forehead to keep me from furrowing my eye brows which never worked. Having been told that Dysport takes longer to start working, I waited 2 weeks for it to kick in and still nothing. I called and Jordan said to come in for a "free" touch up. Since my work schedule and their openings didn't match up, she couldn't get me in for another week. I drove the 45 min. to get there and the same nurse seemed cold and irritated about the situation and then proceed to inject over 50 more units of Dysport into my forhead. The "free" touch-up turned into me having to pay still since the nurse informed Jordan that Brian (the owner) would not have condoned the "free" product/service.
Never having issues like this in the past 10 years I have frequented med spas, I contacted the Doctor who used to do the injections for me before we moved and his suggestions were: the aesthetician may have been inexperienced, some places water their product down or the injector may just have poor technique. He also informed me that the more product placed, the more risk I would be to have side effects (e.g. lazy eye). Another tip was that if a med spa is constantly having to advertise, ask yourself why...
Needless to say, I haven't been back!~
