| rev:text | Came here on our annual baseball trip to watch Red Sox play the home team. We always take the park tour since we enjoy seeing and hearing about the nostalgia and history of baseball at that park. Do yourself a favor, don't go on this tour. The guide, who told us he's been doing this for 14 years, talked about how many Indian elephants could fit in the stadium, and how he wouldn't be around to clean up the mess (yuck, yuck, yuck), what other types of shows they've had (i.e. concerts, gymnastics, monster trucks, kids' shows, etc.), the fake field turf used, and what the cost is to rent an executive suite that had the ceiling damaged ($3600 for a day). When we go by large poster size photos of baseball players he only points out those photos showing the Dalai Lama and the Wiggles show.
The park itself is not attractive, and they close the roof dome on any forecast or chance of sprinkles. The only part that we liked was that you can drink and dine at the restaurant at the hotel that is part of Rogers Centre, and watch the game at no extra charge. |
