Being new to Toronto and not having any friends with pets in the city I used these reviews to choose my dogs new vet. Queen West is a bit out of the way for me but with the mostly wonderful reviews I decided to give it a try (thank god for dog-friendly public transit!).
Our first trip was because my dog managed to get an infection on her neck and they managed to get us in the same day I called. They shaved her down a bit, cleaned the area, gave us pills and a cream all at a fair price. As I was leaving the vet came out and handed me an additional anti-itch spray on the house. They called the next day to see how she was feeling and emailed a week later to check on the progress. A while after I had to go back for replacement pills because my foster dog had managed to eat what was left over on prescription (what kind of dog wants to eat pills?) and we were in and out in 5 minutes. They even called the next day to check on my foster dog and she wasn't even a patient!
On our yearly check up last month I got an appointment when I wanted with no hassle at all. We were a little early but were seen right away. They recently switched drug providers switched their recommended vaccine schedule and were more then happy to explain all the details. They didn't force any treatments or testing I didn't want and even showed us the cost differences between options. Once again they called to check up the next day.
All in all a great vet. You get great care and appointments when you need them. They even managed to get my nervous and shy dog to enjoy being there!
