We went to Aunt Chilada's hoping to get a lite lunch. We weren't that hungry but the place looked inviting from the street. Once inside the hostess greeted us with a smile so we were off to a good start. But its all downhill from here. We told her "two for lunch please". We noticed the high-top tables in the front area were empty yet she led us out the back of the building and into another building at a VERY small table against the wall that barely seats two. We were next to a party of 12 having some kind of business/lunch meeting. Very awkward. Our server came and without greeting us handed us the menus and asked for a drink order. We hadn't even looked at the menu yet. We both said water because she appeared to be in hurry, yet the place was not busy. We scanned the menu looking for the "Lunch" section. Nothing. Ok, she must have given us the wrong menu. When she returned I asked for the "Lunch" menu and she said "You have it, its the same as dinner." Ok, give us a minute. We looked at the party of 12 and their plates were HUGE. We didn't want a huge $50.00 lunch just something lite. So we decided to split one of their burrito dinners. Even that was going to be too much food for lunch. We could tell the server was a little irked when we told her we were going to split the burrito dinner. The food came in about 3 minutes! So much for freshly prepared. She didn't bring an extra plate so we placed it in the middle and dug at it from both sides. Very bland!. Plate had more beans than rice. The tortilla chips were plain and unsalted. She came back with the check and I noticed there was a $1.00 charge on it for enchilada style. What??? Maybe that was for the extra plate we didn't get. We paid the check and left a small tip. Never going back.
