  • After reading several bad reviews I feel I owe it to Roundpoint to share my story. I closed on my house just about a year ago with them. I was nervous about going with an online mortgage company, but I saw they were based in Charlotte, so I figured if anything went wrong I could storm into there office. Before I locked in a rate with them I spoke with several other companys. Roundpoint had the best rates. They didn't gave a sales pitch like the local company's(myers park, fairway), the rates spoke for themselves. Anyway, the process was very professional and easy. I am a first time home buyer and I had no issues. They are thorough about getting proper documents which requires some work, but I am sure that is the case anywhere. All documentation is uploaded on their website, so if you are not very computer savvy that could be an issue. In conclusion, I had a great experience and am surprised to see negative reviews. I would recommend them if your priority is getting the best rate. If your priority is being walked through the process you might want to go local, but from what I hear you are still taking a chance.
