Visiting Pittsburgh? This is a must! This park is big enough to not ever feel really crowded and provides some of the best views of the city and our 3 rivers (since it's the point where they all meet!). With views of Mount Washington, the North Shore, and Downtown, every tourist will love getting their picture in front of the fountain or with the skyline backdrop.
Another great thing about the park is it's accessibility. You can walk or bike across on the pedestrian part of Fort Pitt Bridge or the bridge from the North Shore, and easily walk from any point downtown. The Stanwix Street T-Stop is very close, so public transportation makes total sense when visiting downtown.
I also just learned there is an accessible kayak launch ramp just down a ways from the point on the Allegheny River side. I'm not sure how one get's their kayak that far, but it can certainly be an asset for people who want to kayak from that side of the river.
