| - The awesome: the racing is fun, the track is configurable, the carts all seem equally fast, and the facilities are clean and roomy.
The bad: staff are buttholes and unfriendly. Not one smile, not one "welcome" or any type of general friendliness offered. Another con is the fact that a lot of the track is opened to the elements (but covered), so its ungodly hot in summer. With the hair net and helmet on, it becomes unbearable. And last but not least, my big complaint might come off as sounding sexist, but I don't care what you think, because I'm not... and that complaint is girls on the track who are just there to look cute or are there with their boyfriends. Granted, there are a few girls that seem to know what they're doing, but most have no clue how to drive, let alone a fast electric cart. There are many of us who go to Octane to race and break previous lap times and/or have a competitive nature. Every lap I've driven there has been a chick in front of me who is petrified of taking a corner or doesn't know how to modulate a throttle. They don't know to pull to the right to let faster racers past, so you're stuck behind them and their crappy racing lines. I cant blame them because they're just having fun, but I wish Octane would have a "pro track" and a "amateur track". That way us speed junkies can actually lap without having obstructions in our way, slowing our lap times.
