rev:text	Ah! Glitter and Grit was the first (and only) shop I visited while looking for a dress. I was having "Say Yes to the Dress" visions of what a bridal shop might be like, and knowing that I wanted something pretty-but-simple, without lots of layers, relatively affordable, and definitely not white-white for my partner and my upcoming wedding, I was a little leery of jumping into the whole experience. I stumbled across Glitter and Grit because I happened upon Elizabeth Dye's beautiful designs online, and cheered out loud (!) that they were stocked at Erin's shop in Pittsburgh! Upon making that discovery, I called my mother (who is a Pittsburgh local), and she told me about an "awesome place to look for wedding dresses" that a person she trusted highly recommended just the day before - and we quickly realized we were talking about the same place! Throughout the process, whenever we mentioned that I'd found my dress from Glitter and Grit, we ran across people who only had wonderful things to say about the shop. Erin, the owner, is awesome - I felt so comfortable trying on all kinds of dresses, didn't feel any pressure to "look" a certain way or to have a certain kind of emotional response to the dress, or to "do bridal" in any particular way. The dress that I ended up selecting (#3) made me feel absolutely beautiful - even more so after the perfect alterations from a talented seamstress Erin recommended. The whole experience was superb, and I highly recommend anyone to check out this shop (and to follow it on social media - so many great links and thoughts!)
