If you happen to have to go the Las Vegas and you don't smoke and don't gamble -- the Platinum is a find.
We had a great time there. We came into town for a concert at one of the casinos -- where the rooms were $100/more a night than the Platinum.
We took our 3-year-old. She really enjoyed the pool and the fold out bed in the living room of our suite.
The kitchen was great -- Papa and kid ate leftovers for lunch the next day while I went to the spa across town. The fridge is full size. If you need pots and pans housekeeping will bring them up for you.
It was wonderful to be in a smoke free hotel. I also really liked the valet -- it was hot enough that it was well worth the tips to the valet. (No extra cost 'cept the tips.)
We did bring our old DVD player and hooked it up to the flat screen in the living room, but they also have them available for rent for $25/day. Helped keep kid entertained.
The bell staff, valets and housekeeping were great. We called housekeeping for extra towels and sheets for the pull out couch bed -- they showed up within 10 minutes. They made the bed for us while we were standing there.
We called again because they forgot to restock the coffee - they were there within 5.
We didn't order it, but the room service menu has reasonable prices.
My only complaints:
They put us in a handicapped suite on the 3rd floor, so our view of the Strip wasn't that spectacular.
I figured we'd get an upgrade because I booked directly with the hotel, prepaid, well in advance, but it didn't happen. (We checked in early on a Thursday afternoon.)
The bed was nothing special, comfortwise.
No robes in the room (yes, we could've called and requested them, but we didn't).
