| - After coming in to our reservation, each hostess was delightful and happily took us to our seats. The decor that is reflective throughout the restaurant is hard to not stare at while interacting with the other people you came with. Why? Everything is music related and possess intricate details, which I loved!
There were several special going on while we were there due to Mardi Gras, but I am unsure if they offer other specials throughout the year. I had the gumbo, which unfortunately did not have seafood in it. As a consensus, my friends noted that the food was just average, which I concurred with.
It was a let down to know that we had to ask for silverware and for our food to be taken back because it was not brought out correctly,. One of our friends had an allergy, which was told to the waitress, and the food brought did not reflect the request of my friend. As a former server, I understand that mistakes happen, but to someone with an allergy... not the best. BUT, I will say, the manager did apologize and took the food off of the menu, which was unnecessary, but kind.
I suggest giving this place a try because of the ideal location on East 4th Street and being directly connected to the House of Blues venue.
