Came across this place driving from Henderson since Monta Chaya was a 45 min wait. Saw this on Rainbow Blvd and decided to stop here and try it.
Off the bat when walking in, the atmosphere was really nice. Had that Japan feel like eating at an alley of Japan which was a nice feeling! Even had a little noodle bar. Only thing is it was a little chilly I guess they didn't have the heater on, but eating Ramen would warm me up in no time!
For appetizer I ordered the Tuna Sashimi ($10) which took a little time to get to me. It tasted fresh and not stringy at all like some tunas would. Was so creamy and had 3 different kind of seaweeds. Was quite interesting especially the clear looking one. It was yummy.
For Ramen I got the Tonkoysu Miso ($7.75) with toppings of Nori ($.75), and Egg ($1.50). As I was waiting for my order, I totally forgot to add the butter, but once I tasted my ramen, it was so yummy and buttery already and didn't need it anymore. It was so tasteful and yet so light. It came with the usual veggies/bamboo shoots and chashu. Although I didn't taste much garlic which I love with ramen.
Hubby and son ordered the Ton Katsu Curry Don. ($10.00) came with a side salad with ginger dressing and miso soup. The curry and chicken together was such a good flavor and perfect spiciness. By this time nothing can go wrong with the food. Everything was delicious.
Why only 3 stars? Well the food took more time to come out than other usual ramen places. We also had ordered 3 pork buns as appetizer, but never came out and had to cancel the order since it was put on our bill. It was really chilly inside the restaurant even after eating my Ramen and being the fact that I had to eat with my jacket on was super uncomfortable. And lastly, for being an Izakaya, they didn't have much options on their menu as other Izakayas. Other than that, our server was great and super happy with all the food we got. Will definitely be back for more.
