  • What a nightmare! Please don't even waste your time.. I needed to pick up a $100 gift card for the owner of a vendor I used for our wedding. We had never ate at Shula's before, so we figured we might as well make reservations since we need to pick up a gift card. I'm guessing that our server might have been new, because she was shaking throughout the entire steak presentation. She didn't have much confidence in what she was speaking about. I ordered the filet oscar, and hubby got a NY. Our food was delivered to us promptly. My filet was ok, but my husband said that the NY was horrible. I hate sending food back, so I made him give me a bite since I assumed he was making a big deal out of nothing. Surprisingly, I even wanted to send it back! I stopped eating my dinner since he wasn't eating his, and we awaited the return of the server. Over 10 minutes went by and still no server. I gave my husband half of my dinner since he was very hungry. We ate my entire dinner, finished our wine, sat for 5 minutes, and STILL no server! She finally came up to us to clear our plates, without bothering to ask if there was something wrong with the NY. My husband told her that it was dry and rubbery. She offered to have it remade, but we declined since I had him eat mine. She said she would send the manager over. We waited and waited... No manager. We saw him walking around talking to other tables, but I suppose he didn't feel the need to talk to us. After sitting for a good 15 minutes with no food and no wine, the server asked if we wanted dessert. For real? I asked for the check so that we could just get out of there. My husband told me that I better not give them anymore of our money. Unfortunately I really did need a Shula's gift card, so I approached the host station and asked if I could purchase a $100 gift card. Her exact words, "go to the bar for that". Ok... So I went up to the bar. It was clear that nobody at the bar wanted to help me, so we just left. Forget this place and go to a steakhouse that has great food and excellent customer service.
