  • Based on the reviews and menu I was excited to try this place. The first time was last summer and we sat outside where it was nice and warm. We had great service, but the food was just blah and hardly had any flavor at all. I thought maybe it was just a one time thing but we went again tonight for V-Day dinner and the same thing-VERY blah. We started with the crab cakes which were a little dry and had very little flavor. That worried me because instantly it set the tone for the rest of the night. I had the filet mignon which was cooked perfectly but had zero flavor and the same for the brown gravy and potatoes it came with. Just super blah and a steak at Longhorn has more flavor than this did. My wife had the surf n turf and the portion size was decent but again, very flavorless. I'm not sure what the deal is, but the main issue we keep having here despite trying new items is that the food is bland. For $80+ I expect nicely flavored food, not something I could easily make at home. Our server was also short and snooty and didn't even come to check on our dinner until we were finished, thus she did not receive even a 20% tip.
