This was my first year going to the Matsuri Festival and I really enjoyed the visit. Entrance to the Festival is free but parking is around $12 so be prepared. The Festival itself was extremely colorful and eclectic with teens dressed up as Anime characters and others dressed in kimonos. We were able to pet the Akitas, see the bonsai trees and the tea ceremony, as well as watch an Aikido Demonstration. There were also numerous vendors selling kimonos, jewelry, anime items, tea ceremony items, and more. The food was mediocre at best, it was not what I would consider very good Japanese fare but considering we were at an outside event it was fine. You can find California rolls, teriyaki, and egg rolls and it will satisfy your appetite if nothing else. I would go for the atmosphere not the food.
