| - I wouldn't call this a bad review because some people may not be bothered by the things I find unappealing:hopefully this can help you decide if you want to go. The good: the seats are actually very nice, leather recliners and you can reserve your seat and plenty of foot room and staff were nice and the place was clean, I actually think this would be a great place to bring kids because they would be impressed by the seats, they are 'cool factor'.
The bad: even though this is remodeled, it still has Uber 80's vibe, like most of West Mifflin. The lobby is small so it's a cluster trying to buy tickets..TIP, buy online first! The popcorn was just okay. Our theater had a really small screen, some had larger screens, the theater was hot and stuffy, unfinished concrete flooring, the whole place just felt claustrophobic. PLUS why go to a non-stadium seating theater when basically any modern theater has stadium seating.
Basically it feels unfinished, small, nothing looks like a real theater, no posters etc. It looks generic and dated, it's 12$ ticket which is more than cinemark or AMC around here..the reclining seats don't make it luxury! If I'm going to movies I want to go somewhere nice and modern, this just isn't it. I want to feel like Im going out!
And no good restaurants or shopping in area, so really not worth spending your evening out in the dump plaza with gi-normous potholes that is Century Square. ...unless you are looking to shop at dollar tree or Family Christian Bookstore or maybe eat at Arby's or Taco Bell, or maybe stop by for a quick workout at Plant Fitness, hell, even stop for a haircut at the beauty school AND catch a movie in a dated hot box....drive the extra 4 miles to Waterfront!!!!!
This theater is equivalent to the saying, you can take the girl out of the hood, but you can't take the hood out of the girl.
