  • First of all, I dislike "going to the doctor" and only do if absolutely necessary. That being said when I do go I have 2 pet peeves: 1) waiting an absurd amount of time and 2) rushing me out without hearing what I'm saying, because I would NOT be here if it wasn't something I considered important. So I have a 3:30pm appointment but I'm told to come in at 3pm... I am here right at 3, fill out the paperwork and I'm waiting.... 3:40pm, I get called in to get my vitals and the tech is asking me what I'm in for. That's why I came a half hour before my appointment to fill out all that paperwork!!! Vitals etc take no more than 5 mins... finally got seen 45 mins later. I felt like the Doc was more concerned with getting her documentation done than actually listening to me. I'm a healthcare professional. I understand needing to get your notes done, but you can take notes and do them later or don't be all in your computer so much (personal opinion). My second appointment went smoothly, although the Doc was running a bit behind. My third appointment took TWO HOURS because the Doc was running behind AGAIN... I was in one of the exam rooms for an hour before I was seen, door closed and lucky to have had my phone charger as I had come straight from a 5+ hour flight. She even had one of the nurses come in and offer me snacks because they had me waiting so long. She was apologetic, and we proceeded with my appointment. There was so much information and she just rushed over it, back to the computer and out the door to schedule me for my next appointment. I had to ask her to explain it to me again or print it out so I can go look up what she was talking about. She apologized and owned up to not explaining things right. Come in for my 4th appointment and they tell me they need a urine sample prior to my procedure. Um... haven't yet had to do one, no one told me before today that was part of the process and they didn't say what they needed it for. I asked one of the ladies at the front desk, and she (seriously) told me "just because!" Really?! I said I had no reason to then! I guess she informed the nurse who came out and requested a sample. I saw Dr. Best... she means well, she really does, but of the 5 visits I had there, only 1 was a neutral experience. The other 4 were less than neutral. I can't say I care for this facility too much.
