  • It's unbelievable to me how many of these comments have such similarities to my complaint with this office. When my daughter started seeing Dr. Bellota earlier this year, I was charged $195 or so for her first visit though I'd printed off my benefits to show that the first 3 should have been a copay for me. My biggest issue is that, on every single occasion my daughter's had an appointment, there has been SOME form of a billing issue that needed to be addressed, FIRST. That billing issue always interfered with my scheduled appointment time in excess of two hours sometimes and due to no fault of my own. The fact that the impression in my opinion is, "billing first, your child's mental health second" angers me! Though I get billing is necessary, this should not supersede the need for patients to be seen timely. By the time my daughter sat down to speak with Dr. Bellota upon every appointment I was always so flustered and upset, but remained calm focusing on my daughter's visit. No one should have to discuss such private and person matters in the tiny waiting room, through a sliding door window for the world to hear. Discussing patient's private billing and or insurance information in a lobby full of people borders HIPPA violations. I never understood why those conversations are not had away from the waiting patients in the waiting room. If her billing person needs more time to figure things out, I'm sure this could be done PRIOR to the actual patients visit. My daughter will be seeking treatment from a different Dr. from this point forward as again it had been proven that "billing comes first, the mental health and stability of my child, second." Unacceptable! To everyone who commented on their experience, I wish you well and do hope that you find a Dr. just right for you.
