| - So, full disclosure. I'm biased about this place. Me and my buddy probably have gone here on average once a week since it opened. Really, I don't want to write a review so much as a goddamn love letter to this place.
First off? The staff are amazing. They know what I like to drink. They make it quick, even when it's busy. They're attentive. But most of all they've got personality. I suggest you people try popping into this place when it's just opened on a Sunday, sit down at the bar, and just watch whomever try their hand at Mortal Kombat on the screens behind the bar. It's a blast.
Second point. The drinks are good, and reasonably priced. They also have the ingredients to make some pretty high-brow drinks if that's your style, and the talent to make them well.
The music is fantastic usually. I don't know their DJs (music isn't really my scene), but I enjoy what they play and my friend who knows about these sorts of things is always quite complementary.
The crowd is great. There's such a strange group of people that make this place home. I have never seen a fight break out. Some people dance, some people play games. Me? I like to sit in the booths and watch whatever they put up on the screen. One of my favorite days in recent memory was showing up for a Donny Yen movie marathon and catching all the Ip Mans, then taking a break to get my ass kicked in Tekken Tag by my buddy when I got tired of simply sitting and drinking.
Oh, and the Men's bathroom is always clean. I can't vouch for the Women's but I haven't heard any complains. That's a minor miracle in a crowded bar, and worth noting.
My only complaint about the place is that it can get packed on a good night. Which is hardly a complaint at all. Lots of people go there to have a good time. You should try it out too.
