  • BEWARE OF THE "UPSALE" GIMMICKS...I scheduled an oil change for my son's car, afterwards was told his struts were leaking badly and needed to be replaced so they handed me an estimate for the repair. I took his car to a 2nd mechanic to get another opinion and they said the struts were fine but the new oil filter was loose and leaking. Took the car to a 3rd mechanic for a tie breaking opinion and was once again told that there were no issues with the struts. I decided to give Goodyear a 2nd chance when my wife had a nail in her tire. I was told that the tires were 4 years old, had not been rotated properly so the tire couldn't be repaired and would have to be replaced. The tires are 3 years old and have been rotated at every 5K mile oil change. I took the car to another shop who plugged the tire and said they have another 15K miles of tread left on them.
