| - I've been seeing HCafe desserts on Facebook for a few months, so it piqued my curiosity, and yesterday, I finally made the trip.
And I have to say, I'm mostly disappointed.
From the get-go, the name of the place is "HCafe." To me, the word "cafe" means a place where you sit down, and eat. There's no place to sit down and eat there. You just pick up your order, and get out. So it's really more of a bakery than a cafe. Which is fine, I just wouldn't use the word "cafe" in the name, to give people a false impression of what it actually is.
The bakery itself is actually in a pretty run-down house. The paint is peeling, the wood is chipping, and it just doesn't look very modern.
As for the dessert itself, I ordered the original Japanese cheesecake. It was good. Not great, but good. The person I went with ordered a strawberry zuccoto. Also, good, but not great.
Overall, with my curiosity now satisfied about HCafe, I wouldn't go back there again.
