  • Spoke to Internet manager extensively through email and got an offer for our trade in. Showed up for our appt and he "wasn't available" and we got someone else. Had to start from the beginning and they tried to offer us $1250 less for our trade. They made the pricing extremely complicated. We were trying to compare the Internet pricing, which apparently has every possible discount that no one is likely eligible for, and the Sam's Club pricing. We asked at least three times for the authorized Sam's Club pricing and were told it didn't exist - despite Sam's telling us to specifically ask for it. They brought us an invoice for a different vehicle, that cost less, to "show us" the Sam's discount, but tried to pass it off as the invoice for the car we wanted. Every time they came back with an offer the base price seemed to be adjusted while our discounted price was barely changing. They were purposefully trying to be confusing. They wouldn't offer all the discounts that we were eligible for because they were giving us more on the trade. Starting out we agreed to add on a spare tire, which is of course ridiculous to begin with, but we kind of need a spare tire. By the end, after getting them to come down on price (barely) we bought the car and left and realized the price came down it was because they took off the spare tire and never mentioned that. We were going to pay $299 for the spare kit and their cost is $200, so basically to screw us and save themselves $100!!! They took it out! $100 savings to guarantee I will never go back there, hope it was worth it. They were also condescending and frustrated that I wasn't "understanding" their purposefully complicated pricing strategy. I'll admit I was certainly difficult, but the entire process didn't go at all how I wanted and their tone and demeanor only made things worse!
