  • We got to the Linq hotel at around 9:40pm on Thursday 05/07/15. We brought our entire luggage down with us to the check-in area. There was not a long line but the people at the desk were taking too long with the customers and there were only 2 representatives so the wait time was a little longer than we had expected. Once we were called to the desk, the lady told us that there were some suites available for $50 extra per night. I told her that we were not interested in a suite so then she told us that the room that we had booked was not ready yet and that we had to wait for at least an hour or that we could get a room with 2 beds and that those were ready for us. Since that's not what we booked, I told her that I did not want the room with 2 beds and that we could take the suite free of charge (I know I was pushing it with the free upgrade but it was worth a try). She told us that she couldn't do that so we had no choice but to wait. She even looked surprised when we decided to wait as if she was expecting that we would pay extra for the suite. I also told her that I understood why they had such bad reviews and she only looked at me with the fakest smile there could be. We ended up taking our luggage back to the car and waiting an hour an a half for our room to be ready. We spoke to several representatives and none of them were able to help us out except for the last lady who gave us our room keys. When we got to our room, there was a note that said that they were performing maintenance repairs from 2am to 5amand gave us a couple of flash lights that looked from Dollar Tree. Just great. They did, however, give us a $25 credit towards Starbucks and other restaurants/shops located in the hotel. We didn't even use it, though. The next morning, we were woken up by the construction that was going on in the hotel. I noticed that it's only in the lower floors, we stayed on the third floor and we had some friends staying on the fifth floor and they were woken up as well. We asked our friends if they also experienced the problem with the room not being ready since they got to the hotel a couple of hours after us and they said that they used the same story about the room not being ready but after seeing how pissed off my friend was, they ended up giving them a room right away. Overall, the hotel was simply okay. The location is great, and the high roller is wonderful. I just don't think I would stay there again unless I had no choice. I would rather pay a couple of bucks more for a great hotel instead of staying at a place that doesn't value their customers and offer good service.
