  • I lived at the Trillium North from June 2013 to mid Oct 2013 (extremely behind on writing this review, but bare w/ me). Based on more recent reviews, it appears they have since sold. I can only hope the new management is more competent than the old. I instantly fell in love with the apartment and complex. I rented apartment #2028 two bed/two bath. The amenities at the complex were amazing. It had a great gym, nice mail room, lobby was beautiful and had a free starbucks bar (score!). The pool/grill area was stunning and looked like something straight out of a resort. I lived in paradise for the first two weeks. The nightmare began when my sister visited me. We had just finished dinner and she was helping me with the dishes when I hear her scream. My trashcan (it had been taken out the day before and was nearly empty) was moving. Upon closer inspection, we realized ants were swarming my trash can. I immediately take the bag out and proceed to walk it to the dumpsters outside. The entire time I am carrying this bag, the ants are crawling up my arms and biting me. We finish the dishes and drive to CVS to buy ant poison. Long story, short. The ant poison did absolutely nothing. I complained to management almost daily. They would have their pest control come spray a couple times a week, but NOTHING worked. These ants infested my apartment. I could not keep ANY food in my kitchen cupboards. These ants even got into my peanut butter and other sealed containers. I threw out HUNDREDS, if not thousands of dollars worth of food away while I lived here. Everything had to be kept in the fridge. They infested my bathroom and would bite my feet while I was getting ready in the morning. It was unlivable. I complained and demanded to speak to the property manager, but received NO return phone call. Teri promised me that they would "make it up to me" but they never did. I spoke to my surrounding neighbors, who also had ant problems and complained frequently about the issue. The one neighbor had an infant and found a trail of ants in his BABY's ROOM! Enough was enough and I wanted out of my lease. It is physically IMPOSSIBLE to get out the lease agreement, regardless of the reason. I ended up paying $4,000 to break my lease because it was infested with ants. Let me repeat, $4,000!!!!! It was unbelievable. I contemplated filing a claim with small claims court, but figured it wouldn't be worth the effort. To this day, I am still traumatized from ants.
