| - Came here with a Groupon for the afternoon tea. I've had many of their cakes from their Richmond Hill location and they are delicious. But with a Groupon in hand, I had fairly low expectations for their afternoon tea, especially after placing the reservation with the rude staff on the phone.
The tea set was made up of 3 tiers:
1) Savoury - Everything tasted good, although one of the sandwiches was just half a scone and smoked salmon. Sure, they're resourceful, but I would like to see some more creativity and variety.
2) Scones - decent, nothing special, nothing completely terrible. Could've offered different varieties.
3) Dessert and Macarons - crème brulee was good, but sugar wasn't completely torched (?!). The color of their macarons are so artificial looking I didn't even want to try, but I took a bite, and was left with blue-dyed teeth and completely unsatisfied,
Service - It was just one girl working the front and she gets 5 stars for being professional and courteous. Didn't rush the service and no attitude at all. Took the time to refill our teas and bring us cold waters.
I would only come here with a Groupon for their afternoon tea, and would come back and/or recommend.
