| - I have never been to any Umami burger joints in LA, since we stayed at SLS hotel, there weren't many choices for lunch, I wanted some ice cold beer, so Umami burger it is.
Glad to see there are veggie appetizers, ahi tuna burger and vegan burger. That's all I can have on the menu. The Belgian draft beer I tried was pretty good, very tasty and strong. Had a glass Stella for second one, couldn't finish it, poured it in a plastic cup and took it back to our suite.
Appetizers: House pickled veggies, Thin fries.
The assorted pickled veggies were delicious, sour and salty, great hangover snack. They provided three dipping sauces for fries, the yellow jalapeƱo sauce was extremely spicy, loved it.
Burgers: Umami burger in medium rare and Vegan burger.
Hubby liked his burger alright, he said it was tasty but nothing spectacular for being their so-called signature burger. My sloppy mami was really"sloppy", it was open faced and impossible to hold, also hard to take a bite, the stuffings made the buns so mushy, tasted nasty, but the stuffings were very delicious, liked the onion strings so much.
Food was good but not great, portions were huge, our waitress was friendly and fairly attentive.
This place is great for watching sports on the leather couches in the mid section, a few enormous flat screen TVs hanging up high right in front of those seatings, those are for reservations only. A great way to kill some time in the afternoon hanging around here.
Unless we want to have drinks and watch sports, I wouldn't come again, just not my type of food.
