  • Unfortunately I have to give them a 1 star rating but really they deserve 0 stars. I originally went to Dr. Gerace because she was recommended to me, that was my first mistake. After my initial appointment they had scheduled a follow up appointment and wanted to go over my family health history in more depth. I marked on the forms that I smoked 3 cigs/wk, if that. When going over my health history she confirmed with me how much I smoked and that was it. Months later I get a charge on my bill - "BEHAV CHNG SMOKING 3-10 MIN" for $28 - Are we serious? I'm a full blown adult and I'm getting charged for a conversation about the risks of smoking?!?! I'm well aware of what they are and the funny thing is is that the conversation never happened. Instead she lectured me about how I can't be taking the prescription she gave me and drive because if I got pulled over I would go to jail thanks to stupid laws in Arizona. Thanks for the added anxiety about my anxiety meds you gave me idiot! I called in and asked about the charge, explaining my point. After 4 weeks of back and forth, them not getting back to me, me having to call and follow up every couple of days. Someone at the front desk earlier this week ends up telling me that my insurance put that charge there and it had nothing to do with the Dr. - ok so my bone to pick is with my insurance company? JUST KIDDING - I get a call back from Sandy, billing dept at Allcare, letting me know that the Dr sees it as a just charge. What kind of practice is this? What else do they charge for and don't tell people? It's not about the $28. It's about integrity. Take a hint Dr. Gerace - Learn some bedside manners because you currently suck at it. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Not only are they rude but they obviously don't have any integrity which are 2 things that I don't want when it comes to my healthcare "professional"!
