| - I am pleased to do a review about my recent experience with Capital Collision Shop. I drove to Arizona from Michigan in my beautiful 2016 Black Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LTZ71 truck (my baby!). Unfortunately, I got caught in a horrible hail storm driving through Oklahoma, which left the truck extensive damage to the roof, hood, windshield, doors, front fenders and bed panels. I had to get it fixed before returning to Michigan. I researched seven body shops in the Phoenix area (Google and Yelp) and selected Capital Collision based on the numerous 5-star reviews and excellent customer feedback.
In the end, I knew I had selected the best repair shop in Phoenix and would like to tell you why (given my 50+ years of driving and past experiences with body shops).
I found Capital Collision to be a top-notch, quality, certified, organized and professionally run business. They have numerous certified, trained technicians in every department. The place is huge with many bays and of state-of-the-art equipment (yes, I checked all this out prior to making my decision where to leave my truck). Majority of the work was done by their own professionals and they only outsourced two of the jobs on my truck (a little electrical job and window tinting). Although some of the parts and material were not GM OEM, I was assured they only use top quality parts and materials and it showed in end (see attached photo). The paint all matched, seams all lined up and everything mechanically worked like it did when I dropped off the truck.
A few other items worth mentioning is safety and organization. My truck was safely parked in a secure area when the shop was closed; and they have cameras everywhere. And, when I dropped off the truck Capital had already spoken with my insurance company and made arrangements with a local car rental (Enterprise, also GREAT). Enterprise picked me up from Capital and they had majority of the paperwork completed when I arrived there to pick out a rental car. The shop has a lovely, friendly, knowledgeable receptionist. It's so nice to call a business and to consistently be greeted by a real person and not a recording. They also have a knowledgeable book keeper that I enjoyed meeting. All the paperwork was professionally presented with itemized details and clear notations about price, repairs, guarantees, warranty, payments etc. They gave me an excellent lifetime warranty (if I own the truck). Their warranty covered the work and materials (including paint). The other plus I noticed was the presence of the owner. He appeared to stay on top of every step of the way while my truck was being repaired.
It took 5 weeks to complete all the repairs, which I felt was a reasonable turn-around time given the extent of damage and repairs. They estimated completion by March 16 and I got it back on March 8th. I received frequent and consistent updates from the shop via 2 weekly phone calls and almost daily emails making me aware of the progress and which department the truck was in (for example - disassembling department, body repair department, paint department, refinishing department, reassembly department, buff department, final Quality check department, as well as the final detail department). They did extensive work on my truck and it was shiny clean (detailed) inside and out when I picked it up on Thursday. They cleaned every inch, inside and out, the bed and even the tires! I could not be happier and highly recommend Capital Collision.
