  • I don't want to do this, but here goes: I went to Yeti for a mani/pedi the first time in the winter of 2010 because a friend recommended them to me. When the girl was doing my pedi, she cut too much into my cuticle of my big toe and I was bleeding badly. I couldn't believe it. I don't have problem feet, so it shouldn't have happened. She tried to apologize, but I was furious and wanted to get up. I did not want to bleed from a pedicure. The older manager lady insisted I stay and that she will do my nails. I wish I could remember her name, but if you walk in she's always around and you can tell she's the boss. Anyways, she did a great job, and my mani was fine, and she gave me a 10% discount coupon so I went back and asked for her. They also do shellac at affordable prices, which keeps me coming back. I had been going here off and on since then, until today. I booked a shellac mani and a regular pedi asking for the women. I was arranged with another worker I had never seen before, but I just thought why not and the manager woman was busy. BIG MISTAKE. The woman scrubs my feet, soaks them, and then I ask to shave my rough soles, but she pulls out some cream that "burns" your callouses off. The manager woman reassures me it's better than using the razor and I do know the razor is bad. Anyway, my right foot starts stinging bad, and the woman doing my nails tells me it's ok, "it's supposed to sting." I shrug. She then wipes it off my left and right food and my right foot is bleeding! A lot! My skin has been burned off till it bleeds! I stay calm, but I am so pissed. My foot is burning and bleeding. I can't believe this. The manager walks over, "I am so sorry, I know you bled before." "yes, I have. I am not happy." I let the woman continue to do my pedicure but the manager woman does my manicure, which I would have asked for anyway. In the end I got some free nail scrubbers and 5 bucks off, which is really not a great deal if you think about it considering my foot is still an open sore and burning 12 hours later. Make me bleed once shame on you, make me bleed twice, shame on me. I won't be going back there. It is too bad because the manager woman does do a good job and is so awesome, but the other women they hire are incompetent, and there is no way I am giving my tiny student budget over to have my feet abused. I'd give this one star, but because I've had several great experiences, I will give it two.
