WARNING: Do not not ever save your credit card or bank information in DirecTV's online account services. After I disconnected my service they made an unauthorized charge on my account for equipment. I thought saving your bank information is for the customer's convenience not for them to take money out of my account without any notice. I was informed that I would be responsible for the price of the equipment if it was not returned but not that they would automatically use any saved billing information to make a payment as if I made the payment myself. The equipment is in the mail and customer service said I would be refunded once received but this is still not right. How can this even be legal? I assumed when I disconnected my service my online account would be deleted also but nope. I had to learn a valuable lesson the hard way.
