  • I've been coming here for 15years, at least twice a year for checkups, as I hardly ever get sick. So I've seen alot of changes in that time. One is you can now make appointments online with your provider which I have not yet done. I usually just call the appointment line. and most times they can get an appointment for me within the next 2 weeks. They ask you to check in 15mins before scheduled appointment to fill out paperwork, which I still wonder at, because in these days, I would think our medical history is all online. And sometimes when you go in, the Dr or nurse ask you the same things. When I first came to this hospital, the one thing I hated was trying to find a parking space, that sometimes took up your extra 15min checkin time. Last few years though, I feel its gotten way better. I even noticed a parking spot for combat wounded, so now hubby has a place to park if it's open, which it was on this particular day, and maybe it was there before, but I hardly visit the hospital so I don't know. The only thing that hasn't really changed much and I cannot fathom, is the pharmacy. the wait there is a little ridiculous. This hospital isn't as big as other military hospitals, but they seem to serve alot of pharmaceuticals. You wait in one line to turn in your prescription and then they tell you how long the wait is, I don't think we've ever waited less than an hour. So we usually drive to the BX and then come back. They used to post your name on a board when your prescription is ready, but now they call your number and you have to wait in line again, because people who left and returned are standing in the line. The other area where they have a wait is the Lab. so many people fasting and trying to get their blood work first thing in the morning. I am not complaining one bit. We raised our family up in the military life, hubby comes from a military family and the one thing I had learned from the very beginning is 'Hurry up and wait'. Hubby had his appendix surgery here and our first grandson was born here. Last thing, the mobile service is not the greatest in the building!
