| - Maybe more of a 3.5, but here goes...
+'s
++ Accessibility to restaurants, shopping, bars, clubs
++ One bedroom with terrace is roomy, well decorated and has nice views of the strip and Bellagio fountain
+ Shower with the glass panel to the bedroom and bathroom can be fun, if you're on a romantic getaway
+ Nice amount of bars with different vibes. Especially liked the chandelier bar
+ Good number of food & drink choices. Must also order something from Neapolitan if you're at the pool.
+ Nice spa facilities with steam, sauna and hot tub
-'s
- Glass panel to the shower can also be seen as a negative if you're sharing the room with friends or other family members... weird
- Strange layout of the hotel and decor in common areas. I've been to hotels like Gramercy Park Hotel, and it seems this hotel is going for the same look and feel, but GPH fills its space so much better with the eclectic works of art throughout. I know this is a huge hotel, but roaming the halls on some of the floors, you wouldn't know if you were in Vegas or a convention in Indiana. And I know they are just hallways, but all of them were drab. Again, pick any hotel and you're there.
- Small casino floor
- Spa services not so great; probably one of the worst massages I've gotten
- Room was generally clean, but there were already cigarette burns on the terrace furniture
- Check in took forever, and they won't let you pay up to guarantee early check. We got a room early anyway, but not before we waited 45 minutes in lines to check in.
- Pools were small. Boulevard pool is like a zoo and it's impossible to get a seat. I don't know how the 2 small pools can accommodate all of the hotel's guests. it's always a quest to find a seat if you're not there early. and waiting for the service can take a while.
- Service could be better in general. Over the last few years, Vegas has lost some of it's attention to detail when it comes with customer service. If I'm spending serious dough at dinners, shows, drinks, etc. I'd like the service to be better
Overall, the positives still outweighed the negatives because I'm not sure you would have fared much better at other hotels on the strip. It is a younger crowd, but that makes for a lot of good people watching. I'd probably stay there again.
