The location was slightly outside the downtown core. However this was a plus. You could easily walk to the St Lawrence Market, Yonge St, and the Church Wellesley area from the hotel. Across the street is a Smokes Poutinerie (ok tasting...not the best poutine I've had). However based on the Yelp reviews the poutinerie is the place to be if you want some hot potato goodness while you are drunk. Also across the street is a large strip club if you want to see some tatas and then eat some taters.
The hotel lobby is quaint. The rooms are nice and comfortable without being over the top frilly or expensive. Wi fi was free and parking is available for $35 or $20 (special) a night. The weird thing was the cable tv package in the room had a local Buffalo news station. It was nice to have a small fridge in the room to stash leftovers and my breakfast usual (almond milk).
