| - I'm someone who holds emotions well and never leaves negative feedback; however, I am completely appalled by the behavior of this store's employees. I'd give this location zero stars if I could.
My husband and I stopped in this Lowe's Saturday evening (03/25/2017) to shop for a new range and garage shelving units, and we received no acknowledgement or help whatsoever! It is inexcusable to see a group of employees grouped together having a lengthened casual conversation and then dispersing without a single word to us upon our entry into the appliance department. As we brushed it off and continued on to look over the selection of ranges for a good 10 minutes or so, there was not an employee who came over to assist us. When we finally found one that caught our attention, the lone employee "servicing" the area completely ignored us and headed over to another customer just entering the appliance department, avoiding eye contact with us altogether. I silently shook my head in disbelief and refused to purchase the range at this location, so my husband and I left the appliance department and headed to the garage shelving area. When we found the shelving unit that matched our existing, there appeared to be no more stocked on the floor. My husband managed to track down an employee who walked over to the aisle. When I asked him if the store had anymore in stock, as the shelf was empty, the employee tapped his name tag and said, "I don't know ma'am. I work in the flooring area." I asked if he can get someone to check and see if there were any in stock, and he continued to tell us he only worked in the flooring area. I calmly told my husband I was done with this store and its horrible service, and I walked off. I'm not sure if the employee provided any assistance thereafter, but it was already too little too late.
While I understand the departmental structure of the retail industry and area/category specific training amongst the employees, this kind of behavior is unacceptable. Needless to say, I will never shop this Lowe's store ever again. I will gladly take my business to another location, a location that will not judge me based on my appearance or their perception of my ability to afford basic household goods, but instead treat me as a typical customer.
